ROCKtober is the annual Fall bouldering competition of The Hi-Line Climbing Center, in Great Falls MT. ROCKtober is the first stop for the “Last Best Bouldering Championship Series”. We typically set 70+ new problems for ROCKtober with routes that “go” for kids 6 and up, but some of our hardest routes typically go unsent during the comp. There will be prizes for winners, but also raffle prizes after the winners are announced. We have categories for Youth (U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, U19), Adult Open and Masters categories both with male and female subcategories*. Food and drink will be provided with registration.

The gym will open at 8:30AM.

Two heats:
Heat 1:  9:30AM – 11:30AM
Heat 2:  11:30- 1:30PM
Adult open comp:  1:30PM- 4:30PM

Youth winners will be announced at ~2 PM and Open climbers at ~4:45 PM.

This is a Red Point style competition with only the top five scores counting toward the competitor’s total.
The top three finishers in each category will take home our one-of-a-kind trophies.

Youth Divisions: (set by birth year)

• U9 | 2017 & later
• U11 | 2015-2016
• U13 | 2013-2014
• U15 | 2011-2012
• U17 | 2009-2010
• U19 | 2007-2008

Open Division:  Any age. Youth competitors may use the same score card for the open division if they pay the entry fee prior to the start of the adult competition. Two categories (Male, Female)

Masters Division:

This division has two categories (Male, Female) and is only open to competitors born 1989 and earlier.

*With all gender categories, we recognize the participants right to withhold this information or disagree with our limited selection. Our intention is to provide categories for individuals to compete within. We only ask that you select the category that you identify with if you are willing to do so.
